.: Happy Halloween :.

Hi everyone...and Happy Halloween to all of you!

This week we were free to choose theme and material as we liked.

So I went for the obvious theme... Halloween! = )

But before I´m gonna show you my card....here´s this weeks sketch.

...and here´s my Halloween card...

I used a freebie from PollyCraftDesign and added a tiny little dragon from Lavinia Stamps. I coloured the image, and the sky, with my distressinkpads. But first I masked a little piece to get that moon and then stamped the dragon on top of the moon.
And I just looove the look of that "grass/hey" that is tucked underneath the image. It´s made of long shredded pieces of green paper and it´s really fun to work with! I´m sure you will see it a lot around here... ; )

Don´t forget to drop by 365 Cards to see the rest of the lovely dt samples!

*******
I have another card to show you....
It´s one that I made for a dear friend, who just recently was blessed with a baby girl.
This card was meant to go with a little gift from some of the past dt´s over at Handarbeta. And as a kind of joke, we said we should try to keep it all in pink.... since our friend n e v e r use anything pink...she´s more in to black, grey and silver... ; )
So, here it goes... my pink babygirl card... with a dragon!

I used one of my spellbinder dies to cut out the hole in the front of the card. Then I took the root part of a large treestamp and stamped randomly on the front. Just a few added flowers and leaves and the front was ready.

Inside the card, I layered two girly-girl kind of papers before topping them with the dragon.
I kind of liked the dragon... perhaps it´s not the first and most obvious choice for a babygirl card, but knowing my friend, I think she´ll like it!
Girly and pink - yes! .... but in the same time kind of though!
Kerstin... hope you and sweet Ingrid liked it!

*******

Ok... I have one last thing to show you.

It´s a small coffin that I made a couple of weeks ago. I been waiting for this day to show it... think it´s the proper day for a coffin, right?

I folded black Bazzill and then decorated it a litte by embossing the skulls and the edges with icy blue powder.
The dancing skeleton is from a set of stamps from Bombshell Stamps and the wings are from Tim Holtz. The wings are stamped upon OH-paper with Staz-on and then cut out.
And as for the skeleton... boy! Did I give myself some extra job there...! The next time, I get the brilliant idéa to cut out such detailed image by a scalpel, I hope someone reminds me of how much job it is before I get on to it! = )

Well... that will have to be all for now. Think I´m gonna join one of my daughters in the livingroom.... she´s watching a movie and I can grab a new book.
I just finished two books yesterday ( "Burned" by P.C and Kristin Cast and also "Beautiful Dead: Jonas" by Eden Maguire)
Actually... I have been quite busy reading the last couple of weeks. So I have now read all 7 of "The House Of Night"-serie and a few other books as well.
But, like I said before...I better grab that new book now.. while I still have time for it. = )

Happy Halloween to all of you!

.: Sweet ´n Sassy Week :.

Hi everyone...and welcome to another fun and crafty week at 365 Cards!

365 Cards

This week we are beeing sponsored by fabulous Sweet ´n Sassy Stamps! They were kind to let us play around with some of their lovely digis. And they sure have some gorgeous ones!

If you havn´t been to their shop before, make sure you visit them now. I´ll bet you´ll find something that might suit you... ;

And, since it´s Sunday... Pamela challenged us with a new cool sketch.

I thought it looked like a window in some way... and that´s what I did. = )

See what I mean...?It´s a window ...and behind the window you can see a part of the digi I used.

Inside, I hung the Holly Wreath onto the "wall". The Holly Wreath is a digi from Sweet ´n Sassy that I printed out and then coloured with distress inkpads and a waterbrush. Some glossy accent on the red berries added just the right touch.

Here´s a close up on the window. I used gelatin leafs for windowglass. The gelatin leafs are already embossed in that lovely way. I simply loooove working with them an cards!

...and here you have the Holly Wreath up close....

...and a last piture of the window.. complete with christmas curtains = )

Well, well...that was all from me today. Hope you found some inspiration.
Don´t forget to check out the other dt´s samples over at 365 Cards!

.: It´s a prickley Pear Sunday! :.

Hi everyone!
It´s so nice to have you here...
Today it´s a Prickley Pear kind of Sunday. At least over at 365 Cards.
Prickley Pear Stamps is our fantabulous sponsor this week... and guess what...? they sent us some real rubber to use! Yeeay... love it!
365 Cards

Sunday means a new lovely sketch by Pamela... and this Sunday is no exception. = )

Remember I said we got some real rubberstamps to play with...? well, we didnt just get on or two, but four different, oh so yummie, stamps!

On todays card I have been playing with two of them plus plenty of distress ink! ; )

You should see my fingers, haha... all inked up and messy!

I started by putting on distress ink directly to the stamp. I used "bundle sage", "wild honey", "spiced marmalade" and "aged mahogany". Then I just kept repeting the pattern.... and that´s how I got my background paper.
For the second stamp, I simply stamped the image with "vintage photo" and then did some distressing around before adding the sentiment ( that´s not from Prickley Pear, but from Inkadinkado)
With some leaves, berries and ribbon I finished off my card. Soo..what do you think of it..?

Don´t forget to drop by to see all other sample cards from our talented ladies at 365 Cards..*wink, wink*

Ok... have to go now... plenty of work to do today...
Soo... thank´s for stopping by... please leave a little note so I know you´ve been here.

.: Sunday without... :.

Hi...!
Here I am... with another "late" post....* blushing *
Once again it´s my Sunday card for 365 Cards... But hey!... better late then never, right? = )
365 Cards

This week we were supposed to be sponsored by Character Cafe. Unfortunately, I didn´t get my digi in time to feature it on my card... Soo... I had to come up with another plan for my card ; )
Wich wasn´t all too difficult.. hence I had bought plenty of gorgeous rubberstamps at the Big Stamps and Scrapbooking Show in London!

But no Sunday without one of Pamela´s wonderful Sketches!
I just loved the clean look on this one. Fits just about every theme you could imagine. Lovely!

And here´s what I came up with..... Simply adore that sweet lady! Isn´t she gorgeous , or what?

Soo...hope you liked it.
Thanks for checking by... hope to have you back soon!

Sunday Sketch at 365 Cards and a lovely rubberstamp from Sparkle Creation to play with... couldn´t be better! = )

Here´s the sketch...and then you´ll have my take on it.

Yeah... I know. It´s not my regular style. Don´t think I ever made an all black/white card before. But that´s part of why I did this time. = ) just had to try it...
