.: Vintage Love Blog Hop :.

Hi...and welcome to another Sunday and the beginning of our blog hop!
I´m thrilled to announce that we, 365 Cards, are having a blog hop that we call "Vintage Love" that will last the entire week. Wee-hoo!
You should have arrived here from Amy...if not, just hurry on back to her blog and then come right back here.

The theme: Vintage Love
We're going to be celebrating this card making style all week long.
Here's how it works:

Each DT Member will have one item listed for you on their blogs that you will use to create a card at the end of the week. These 11 items will make up a card recipe. There are some AMAZING Graphic 45 goodies to be won, courtesy of DT Member, Gloria Stengel (who is also on the G45 DT) - THREE HUGE PRIZES will be given away at the end of the week!!

There are 3 ways to win:
1) PRIZE #1: Participate in any or all of the 7 challenges from Sunday to Saturday. Doing so will earn you up to 7 chances to win a prize.
2) PRIZE #2: Participate in the Saturday, Card Recipe challenge, and there will be a separate drawing from among just those participants.
3) PRIZE #3: Leave comments on the Design Team blogs - each DT member will have her own rules for how you are to comment (possibly answering a question).

Rules:
Each card must be newly created for a 365 Cards challenge.
Direct links to your posts are required - if we have to search for the correct post, your card will not be counted.
You cannot combine 365 Cards challenges - if you do, your card will only count for one of the challenges.
If you like to combine card challenges from different blogs: You may combine a 365 Cards challenge with a challenge from only ONE other blog for the card entry to count (for example, a sketch challenge or color challenge from another blog). This is not a normal 365 Cards rule, but one we are using for the blog hop only.
You will have until Monday, November 29th, at 11:59 PM EST to link up your cards for the week. Any card that is posted after that time will not be included in the drawings.

Ok...now you have all the facts right and we can get down to business = )

The Sunday Sketch team had a gorgeous sketch to follow and I couldn´t resist creating two cards, especially since we had soo much goodies sponsored by our very generous Gloria Stengel. She sent us all a full load of goodies to play with. Thanks a lot Gloria! You are a true darling!

And, without further notice...here´s the sketch.

...and here are a few pictures of my interpretation.... ; )

When I saw the sketch, I got stuck on the idea of making a purse card. Actually...it´s my first attempt on a purse card, but I liked it...might not be the last time... ; )

Here´s a close up on some details....specifically notice the button! That is my chosen item for the card recipe.

And as a bonus...here´s what I came up with second time around...Enjoy!

That was all I had to share with you today. Now it´s time for you to hop on over to Tesa and check out what she has created. I´m sure it´s fabulous!
But before you´re off, don´t forget to leave a little comment here and answer this one simple question, in order to have your chance to win one of the great prizes. I might even have a little RAK for one of you...
And the question is...: What´s your favorite vintage item to ad to your cards?

Thanks for joining us in this fun blog hop. It´ll be one great week, that´s for sure!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
~Love~
Sophia

  8. Love your take on the sketch, what a cute purse for a gift card.

My favorite vintage embellishment is crochet lace, it can be distressed any color and adds a little Victorian touch to any card.

  9. Sophia your purse cards are so georgous! love the bling. I haven't done much for vintage so this will be my practice week; I have some lace set aside to use on vintage cards but I also like pins too!

  20. These are great purses, Sophia. I am new to your blog. You do beautiful work.

My favorite vintage thing to use on cards are buttons from my Grandmother's button box. That a old lace given to me by a friend.

    SvaraRadera
  21. Oh WOW these little purses are soooo beautiful...love all the extra little details and lovely embellishments you have used.
I don't make Vintage very often but also think there should be some lace or pearls on them.

    SvaraRadera

  26. Sophia, those cards are just GORGEOUS! I love them both! So different but still similar to the sketch:)

For me, vintage and a little bit of "grunge" go together. I LOVE to add things that take you back to simpler days...lace, old metal parts, I especiall LOVE to mix T!m products together to get the effect of "rust" on (sometimes faux) metal items...you know, keys, hinges, clocks, etc.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

    SvaraRadera
  27. I love both cards! My favorite thing to add to vintage cards would be Grandma's buttons.

    SvaraRadera
  28. The purses are exquisite - very inspiring ! I love to add all the distressing to vintage cards, and for embellies, I love the metal stuff, and some grunge board too. And flowers. And ribbon. And flowery sayings. And hearts.

    SvaraRadera
  29. Wow, you do vintage so well. Love both your projects! My favourite item to add to vintage cards would be some mist.

    SvaraRadera
  30. Love your take on the Sketch! Just beautiful! I am new to card making...first time visiting...but my fav things to add to vintage style..are antique buttons (I have a lot)...and vintage look flowers. Of course I am a super fan of Vintage photo distress ink..on all my projects. Thanks for sharing!

    SvaraRadera
  31. Super cute cards! The black one is fab! My favorite vintage item to use on cards is buttons. I love the homey feel they give to a project.

    SvaraRadera
  32. Sophia, I really like both, but the purse is a stunner!
I like paper with vintage prints on them to use on the card as background

    SvaraRadera
  33. super läckra väskor du gjort och fin blogg har du oxå *ler* Jag ÄLSKAR blommor.. det och spetsar är min vintage grej att sätta på mina kort

    SvaraRadera
  34. Both of your cards are beautiful. I can honestly say that I have never made a vintage style card, but I find them very interesting and pretty. My favorite thing about vintage cards would have to be the mix of materials, my favorite of which is lace and vintage. I have never used lace, but I REALLY want to. I have only been making cards for a short time, but my goal this week is to make a vintage card using lace. Thank you so much for your inspiration.

    SvaraRadera
  35. Hmm. It's beginning to dawn on me that if I'd actually followed this week's bloghop back on Sunday, I'd have had a whole week run-up to think about how to do the Saturday challenge? What's my favourite element of vintage style cards? Well, it's the one that's going to cause me the most trouble today - their visual complexity!!! I suspect it involves planning ahead....

  36. WOW, Sophia!!! These are absolutely stunning projects! I love your vintage style all year around, and this time - way to go!

  37. Sophia..your cards are FAB...both looks like handbad with vintage style and love them..so the kinda vintage card that I like to add in my cards..are the flowers..and distress ink..bcos it looks more natural as dry flower and the aging of the card..

    SvaraRadera
  38. Wow, what a nice cards..very well done. Thanks for the inspiration. stephi

  39. WONDERFUL creations! To be honest, vintage scares me and when I try to create them I usually stick with muted colors and use ink distressing.
