~~ Style and scraplift challenges + final Sunday sketch..~~

365 Cards has had a whole week with exciting challenges.
They challenged us to do a combined style and scraplift of their talented designteam.

First out , ( challenge #359 )was Gloria with a absolutely fabulous vintage card. I just love her style and how she has managed to arrange all the details on her card.
So, I thought it was a bit difficult to do her card justice... Well, here´s my card.
I scraplifted pretty much the whole concept.. the colours, the layout and choice of materials.
The sentiment on the ticket reads " Now and forever"

Next out was Audrey on challenge # 360. she has a very colourful and vibrant style. Very far from what I usually create. Don´t get me wrong... I love that style! I just find it difficult to create like that.
First of all, I´m not very good at colour my stamped images.... so, I don´t do that to often.... ; )
And second... I tend to choose softer colours ... and more embellishment = )

But this time I had great fun making a card in this style! I scraplifted the stripes, the stamped and cut-out image and the use of other stamps on the background.
By the way... I just love this cheeky girl! Isn´t she totally cool, or what?
Thank you Audrey, for giving me the courage to use this bold colours and to use my stamps!

Challenge #361 was Kristie´s. She has a classy and fresh style. She´ll never "over-do" her cards.
Once again, I had to struggle a little to take on that challenge.
But finally, it all came together...
Her card gave me the inspiration to make a more masculine card. I used bold blue combined with just white and a bit of yellow. This will be a card for a graduation.
So... what did I scraplift of Kristie then...?
Well... I lifted the framed sentiment, the scalloped border and her way of decorating her card with just one embellishment. I just changed her button for a bouquet of flowers = )
Thanks alot Kristie for great inspiration and the chance to go outside of my comfortzone.

Here comes my take on challenge #362. This time it was time for us to scraplift one of Amy´s playful cards! I have to say that I feel good inside when I see her cards. So joyful and outside the box!
Her style is to use strong colours, different patterns and embellishment that will put a smile on your face!
I felt that it was very much to live up to... but I gave it a try... See for yourself... Did I do ok?
I made my card in shape of an easteregg. I even included a feder for that extra touch, haha.
This card was so much fun to make and I´m sure that it won´t be the last time that I use this kind of colours and patterns... So, thank you Amy for pushing me to this!


For challenge #363, it was Sophie´s gorgeous card we had to lift.
Her style is clean and simple... quite the opposite from me...
I just had to have a go on this one...
I went for less-is-more and lifted the circle, the ribbon(...although I changed it for a piece of lace)
and the stamped sentiment.
I really like the way my card turned out. Clean and simple.... just like Sophie´s card.
So, thanks Sophie, for the chance to play around with this use of fewer embellishments. It was great fun!


Last, but not least, there was Vichy´s time to challenge us on day 364.
She loves the softer colours and flowers... Like I do... = )
So I thought this was going to be an easy challenge...HA! As if lifting her cute card could be easy... So much to live up to I think.
But it wouldn´t be me if I backed out on an challenge... So I dived right into the assignment.
I first thought of lifting the colours, but I soon changed my mind in favour of this pale beige paper with soft dots. It reminds me of summer and the soft sand on the beach = )
Instead, of lifting the colours, I lifted the use of ribbons, the stamped and coloured image on white, and of course...flowers ! I think my flowers are so cute!
Well Vicky... did I do ok on lifting your card? It sure was fun and I think I´ll have to start using up my ribbons now... Thanks for a great lift !


And today there was the final Super Sketchy Sunday #365. Today they reached day 365.... and tomorrow they will start a whole new year, full of fantastic challenges!

But I wanted to have a go on the last sketch... and here´s my take....
I put my punches to use. Both the retro-flowers and the threading water-punch. Lovely! I love my punches and just wish I had more to choose from... But I guess I have to settle with the ones I have....for now! = )



Well! It´s been quite a busy cardmaking weekend for me.... I made the last 3 cards today ... plus two more cards that are for a competition , so I can´t show them yet. Oh, I almost forgot...I also made 2 LO´s for the same competition.
The other cards, that I show here, were made last night... Like I said... quite a busy cardmaking weekend.

~~ Better late then never... = ) ~~

It has been a completely crazy week!
It started on sunday morning... my youngest son, Ivan, woke up with fever. And it was the same day as our family was going on a cruise to Åland.... So, what to do...? We brought plenty of medication with us and then we went on the cruise.
It was absolutely great! And Ivan seemed quite ok... but he didn´t want to eat..

We came back way past dinnertime on monday... just to find out that our water had frozen in the kitchen and in the laundryroom... and even the water for the upper toilet had frozen... brrrr!
So I took care of the children, unpacked our bags and fixed some quick dinner for the kids. Meanwhile, my husband struggled to fix the water situation.... and he did a very good job!

Less then one hour after coming home, my youngest daughter started acting sick. She, also, had gotten fever!
The next morning I called the doctor and got an appointment the same afternoon.
Both kids got antibiotics...

Since then there hasn´t been much sleep or time for scrapbooking or cardmaking. But I have managed to do a few cards at least *smiling happily* Do you wanna see...?
This is a card that I did for challenge #356 - Sophies sketch over at 365 Cards. I haven´t got the time to show it before. But better late than never, right?
It sure was a lovely sketch to follow!

And here is a close-up on that sparkly flower... = )

This next card is made for the challenge # 358 - Super Sketchy Sunday , at 365 Cards.

This was a really tough sketch! I had to let it lay in the back of my mind for a couple of days, before having a go at it.

I have to say that I´m really satisfied with the way it turned out!

I don´t usually use such bright colours and patterns... but in this case it worked !

Here´s the the card semi-opened...
The sentiment "grattis!" means congratulations!

The papers are from Daisy Bucket. Bright colours and gorgeous texture.

I´m lucky to have plenty papers left.... = )

~~ Några alster från cc´n ~~

Tänkte att jag skulle visa upp några till av de alster som jag gjorde förra helgen till cc´n hos Countryscrap.
De hade ju en hel del roliga tävlingar som jag ville testa på.

En av tävlingarna var att altra någonting i vintage-stil. Efter att ha klurat en stund på vad jag skulle altra, så bestämde jag mig för ett blockljus.
Det blev ett snabbt och enkelt verk... tog helt enkelt en spillbit ifrån ett notpapper och chalkade kanterna rejält. Sen knöt jag dit en vit spets, chalkade även den för att den skulle passa in bättre. Limmade fast några vackra blommor, virade lite brun floss slarvigt runt ljuset och fäste till sist två fina nålar genom knuten på spetsen. Klart! En liten närbild på dekorationerna.... nu står ljuset på ett ljusfat i mitt scraprum och har gott sällskap av ett vackert litet hjärta samt en söt ängel....

Det här kortet gjorde jag till den tävling där man skulle skapa ett alster helt monokromatiskt i bruna nyanser... vitt eller svart fick tillkomma som accentfärg.

Känner mig rätt nöjd med kortet. Trots avsaknaden av en titel eller textrad...

Sist ut är ett kort till vintage-tävlingen. Snabbscrappat om något!

Det här kortet OCH ett till kort ( ett runt kort i vintagestil ) gjorde jag på mindre än 20 minuter!! Det är snabbt även för att vara jag.... ; )

Papperna är från ljuvliga Graphic 45. Jag bara älskar deras papper! Såå, nu längtar jag tills min plånbok säger att det är ok att shoppa igen.... har syndat med några andra, ej scraprelaterade, inköp.... vackra klänningar!

Hmmmm... undrar jag... kanske skulle jag ta och leta reda på några bilder att visa upp...? Nåja, det får bli lite senare.

Nu skall jag slå in paket till söta Elsa, som har sitt 6-årskalas idag. Hela vår familj är bjuden till simhallen där hon skall fira. Det betyder att det är dags att leta reda på bikinin och packa allas badkläder... och mycket badkläder blir det med stor familj! ; )

Imorgon skall hela familjen ut på härlig kryssning. Vi skall åka tillsammans med två av våra goá grann-familjer. Det skall bli såå roligt! Hoppas bara att det inte blåser för hårt... vill helst slippa sjösjuka....!!

~~ Challenge # 354 and # 355 ~~

... I´m back!
Today it´s friday and for my family that means tacos for dinner. All the kids just love tacos!
And I think it´s nice to some familytraditions.! Even if it´s just having tacos for dinner every friday... ; )

Well, after the dinner we enter the livingroom and the sofa. Then we all sit down to watch a movie, and tonight it was " Up". The kids liked it...but I´m not sure. Parts of it were really funny and other parts were a bit scary... at least for my youngest kids...

But I promised to show you the other cards that I had made for the challenges over at 365 Cards.
First out is this "beauty in white".... This one I made for the challenge # 354 - Kristie´s sketch.
This card didn´t turn out the way I had planned ; )
One thing led to another and Voila! ...this is what I made!
Don´t get me wrong... I really love the way it turned out... it´s just not the way I had intended.
I´ll give you a little close-up on the flowers and the punched-out border.
I´ve made the flowers by myself using two sizes of the retroflower-punch and then layering them.
I used my MS- Doily Lace Punch to create the patterns on the tip of the flowerpetals.
Looks nice, don´t you think?


For this card, made for challenge #355, I have used some quite odd materials..... chickenwire and beer-cans!
I have punched out a circle from a beer-can and then embossed the sentiment and the edges.
I also embossed the edges of the card in two different colours ( silver and white/silver).
I used staples to attach the chickenwire and beer-can to the cardstock.

I think this card is pretty masculine... don´t you?

It´s really fun material to use and you can make such lovely things with it!

~~ Challenges # 352 and #353 x 2... ~~

Alright!
Here are a couple of more cards that I´ve made for the challenges # 352 and #353 over at 365 Cards. They are having a whole week with sketches.... *love it!* They call it the "Seven Sketches Week"
If you are looking for great inspiration, you should really check it out!

First I´m gonna show you the card that I made for Challenge # 352.
I kept it pretty simple. Using a vintage-picture that I printed out on photopaper, some skeletonleves, a beautiful wildrose from Prima and some lace.
The sentiment "julkramar" means "hugs for christmas"....yeah, I know... Christmas is over but I promised myself to make christmascards the whole year around... so that I don´t have to make christmascard like a maniac in december = ) Pretty clever, don´t you think! ; )
And this next one, I made for the Challenge #353. I played around with the sketch a little bit ; )
And once again... a christmascard.. ; ) But, at least, I didn´t use non-traditional christmascolours

... And here´s a little close-up on the flowers and leaves...

This last card is actually made out of the same sketch as the last card ( #353).

I had some stripes of the brown, dotted, paper left , so I decided to have a go at the same sketch one more time.

~~ CyberCroppat en del...~~

Ni, som varit in till mig senaste dagarna ,vet kanske redan att jag har scrappat en hel del på sistone. ni andra vet det nu ; )

I helgen hade Countryscrap en jättelyckad, och helt perfekt ordnad, cybercrop. De bjöd på en hel radda med härliga tävlingar och utmaningar.
Trots en stor familj hemma, lite extra barn i form av kompisar, barn som skulle skjutsas till kalas, make som gick på party mm, så hann jag faktiskt med en hel del bidrag! Känner mig rätt nöjd iallafall.
Klart att jag gärna hade hunnit med även de andra tävlingarna... men, men, man kan inte hinna allt!

Tänkte iallafall bjuda er på några av de alster jag skapade under helgen! = )

Först ut är ett kort jag gjorde utifrån en skiss. Här har jag tillämpat fri tolkning, haha. Men jag tror ändå att man kan känna igen grundformen....
Bilderna med ängeln och jordgubbarna har jag skrivit ut själv på papper. De finns att hitta ute på nätet *tack så mycket *
Jag har en hel mapp på datorn med fina vintagebilder. Redo att skrivas ut precis när jag känner för det! Det är lyx!

En liten close-up på de fina vildrosorna, gardeniorna och skelettbladen. Bladen är förövrigt en ny favorit!
Jag har även tagit en bit av notpappret, chalkat kanterna och sen rullat ihop och sen fäst mellan blommorna. Blev fint tycker jag!

Här är ett kort som skulle vara på temat Alla Hjärtans-dag. Jag valde att inte överarbeta kortet utan göra det ganska snabbt och enkelt.

Lite rosa cardstock som bas, en spillbit av ett Inkidopapper, några minirosor, blad och en ill-röd gardenia! Texten är monterad på 3d-kuddar för att få lite mer liv. Avslutade med att duscha lätt med lite glimmermist.

Snabbt och enkelt! Tog inte mer än en kvart allt som allt!

Det här var ett roligt projekt som verkligen gav blodad tand!

Jag har länge sneglat på vår klocka i köket och tänkt att jag skall göra om den. Men nu blev det äntligen av!

Jag plockade isär klockan och monterade dit ett helt underbart, och mycket passande, papper ifrån Graphic 45. Passande för att klockan gav jag till min älskade make i Alla Hjärtans-dagpresent, och han jobbar med järnvägen och älskar tåg! = )

Så, han blev verkligen jätte-glad.

Den skall nu få pryda en av väggarna på hans nya kontor ( som jag målade om i förra veckan.... 3 olika nyanser av choklad-brunt...5 olika vågräta ränder...*superfint!*).

Nu skall jag se om jag orkar med en liten stund vid scrapbordet innan sängen ropar...

Kika in i morgon igen, vetja! Då bjuder jag på fler alster från helgen. Bla några vintage-kort, ett altrat ljus i vintage-stil men även LO samt två KAOS-awarder!

Yes!
Like I said before... I´ve been busy making cards this past week.
Here is my tribute to challenge #351 over at 365 Cards. This challenge is called Super Sketchy Sunday and they had a really tough sketch to follow ; )

So, I changed the elements around a little bit and the result came out like this! ..... as kind of "clean" vintage-like card with torn and distressed papers, lace and lovely papers from Graphic 45. *me like*

A new love of mine, is the skeleton-leaves. They are so beutiful and versatile. This weekend I used them on almost all my cards and LO´s.
I´ll show you more later tonight. Now I´m of to work!

Challenge #348, 349 and 350...

I have been pretty busy this week... making one card after another, haha!
Oh, not to forget... cybercropping at Countryscrap.se! But I´m not gonna show all of the things I´ve made. Or, at least, not today.

The first card that I will show you, are for the challenge #348 ( Keep it simple) at 365 Cards.
You would have to start out with a blank piece of cardstock, stamp a image in one colour and not colour it in!, then ad one thing as an embellishment.
And here´s my result.
I´ve used a stamp from my best friend, Suss/ Pappersdraken. She has made herself a whole line of stamps. Mostly with friendly dragons... = ) Is this one adorable or what! .. and a little close-up. I had some trouble with the light in the room when I was taking the pictures... so, you will have to excuse the bad colours...

This next card is for the challenge # 349 - Directions. You should use words or signs to describe a direction. My direction is "... to the moon ... and back! "

I always tell my kids that I love them "to the moon and back" ... and the usually replys to me," I love you to all the countrys in the world and over all the seas.. and back" That is love!

And the last card that I will be showing you today is for challenge # 350 - Stacked Up!

You were suposed to make three different stacks of material.

I have stacked paper, arrows and images.

The word "fika?" means like "Coffee?"
I just love the colours on this card! So yummy!

~~ Challenge 346 and 347... ~~

Nu tror ni väl att jag inte är riktigt klok!
Kort... igen!

Jo, nog är det så, haha. Jag har haft sån otrolig skaparlust och känt att det passar så bra att hinna gör ett kort eller två på de småstunder som finns över.
Såå, idag har jag låtit mig inspireras av 365Cards umaningar. Roligt med en site som levererar nya härliga utmaningar varje dag!
Då det kommer in några till min blogg som inte förstår svenska, så kommer jag idag att skriva på både svenska och engelska. Snälla... skratta inte åt min stavning. Det var evigheter sen jag sist skrev någonting på engelska...

Det här första kortet är gjort till utmaning nr 346. Det var Tuesday Trio-challenge. Man skulle ha med någonting scalloped, distress-ink samt något band.
Och såhär blev mitt resultat.....

This first card was made for the Tuesday Trio challenge ( nr.346). The challenge was to put scalloped, ribbon and distress-ink on the card.

And this is my result......

Kortbasen är gjord av ett Inkidopapper som jag hittade i gömmorna. Sen har jag använt min Slice till att skära ut ett scalloped-hjärta. Den negativa delen använde jag sen som mask när jag distressade det bruna hjärtat.

Sen inkade jag kanterna på det rosa hjärtat, monterade på 3d-kuddar och virade lite brun floss runt. Stämplade sen texten " Love you". Så var det bara bandet som fattades... och det fick bli ett enkelt brunt satinband i överkanten. Voilá!

I have used a piece of paper from Inkido. It has been lying in my stash for a while.... ; )

I used my Slice to cut out the scalloped heart. Then I used the negativ form as a mask as I inked the brown heart.

I inked the edges of the pink heart, mounted it on adhesive foam and then wrapped a little bit of scrapper´s floss around the edge.

I stamped the text " Love you". Then it was just the ribbon that I lacked.... it would have to be a simple piece of brown satin. Voilá!

Nästa kort är gjort för dagens utmaning hos 365 Cards. Dag 347 - White Space....
Hmmm... en klurig utmaning det här... ; )
Man hade en skiss att följa. Den var i princip helt blank, bara en svart cirkel i nedre hörnet. Det var där man fick ha alla dekorationer... även texten.
Känner mig ändå rätt nöjd med det här kortet! = )

This next card was made for the 347 Challenge - White Space.....
Hmmmm... it´s a tricky one... ; )
You had a sketch to follow. It was almost completly white, just a black circle in the lower corner. That´s were you would have to put all your decorations... including the text.
When it comes to it, I´m pretty satisfied with my card! = )


Jag har maskat mitt kort och distressat med "Fired Brick" och " Aged Mahogany". Sen tog jag den positiva delen av samma mask, lade den ovanpå det jag maskat, stämplade sen med en rad olika stämplar. När jag var färdig med det så tyckte jag att jag behövde någonting mer. Då kom jag på att jag skulle distressa dit några små hjärtan i det stora. Sen var det bara på med ett par minirosor, knoppar och blad.

I used a Heidi Swapp Mega-mask to do the heartshape. First I used the negative mask to fill it with the red colour ( " Fired Red" and " Aged Mahogany" ). Then I took the positive mask and put it over what I had masked. Then I stamped with several differt stamps around the heart.
When I was done, I felt that it needed something more. So I distressed some smaller hearts inside the bigger one. Then I just added a few roses and leaves.

So.... what do you think of my cards? I would very much like it if you would left a comment before you go... = )

Day 345....

Ny dag och ett nytt kort!

Hittade en rolig utmaning hos 365 Cards nu på morgonen. Man skulle inspireras utav en annons och göra sin tolkning. När jag sen var in och kikade hos Scrapptorget så hittade jag ett helt underbart kort som deras gästDT nu i februari hade gjort.
Jag lade ihop den ena utmaningen med den andra inspirationen och gjorde detta kort.
Det var superenkelt men ack så roligt!

~~ Helgens skörd...~~

Den här helgen har jag varit såå lycklig!
Äntligen blev jag klar med min stoooora städning/utrensning/omorganisering av scraprummet!
Det känns så skönt att tänka på att allt nu har sin givna plats och är lätt att hitta. Ger mig den på att jag to m skulle kunna scrappa i blindo om jag bara hade plockat fram papper och foton först! ; )

Men nu tänkte jag visa er ett kort som jag gjort efter dagens skiss på 365 Cards. Det var en superfin skiss att följa och jag kände att jag bara måste prova den direkt.
Så här kommer mitt bidrag till deras utmaning idag ( 7/2-10). Vad tycker ni? Är det helt galet att bryta av det rosa med den starka röda färgen...? Inte då! Det ser riktigt läckert ut IRL!

Sen har jag gjort två julkort oxå...! ; )

Julkort! tänker du kanske. Men det är så att jag och min väninna, Suss, bestämde oss för att vi ALLTID skall börja med att göra ett julkort innan vi sätter igång med den "riktiga" scrappingen. Detta för att slippa tok-göra en massa julkort i slutet av året. Då kan vi istället göra de vi vill och tycker är roliga. Räkan starkt med att ha lådvis med julkort innan december....

Här är det andra kortet jag gjorde. Rätt snarlikt det först, men vadå! Det måste inte vara totalt olika . Det lär ju ändå inte hamna hos samma mottagare... ; )

Här är något så unikt som ett färglagt stämpelmotiv... mina promarkers fick dammas av och användas. Det var lääääänge sen sist. = )

Men vem vet.... kanske det dyker upp fler gånger... nu när jag hittat mina pennor igen, menar jag.

Sist ut idag är ett grattiskort till en av Liam´s kompisar som fyllde år nu i helgen. Var dessutom så tråkig att jag gjorde två helt likadan kort. Ett som Liam gav bort igår och ett som han skall lämna till en annan kompis nästa helg.

Ser ni!! Jag hade framförhållning dessutom! Slipper nu att stressa nästa helg.

Nej hörni! Nu måste jag sluta för idag. Dags att läsa läsläxan med Minja, gå igenom hennes IUP inför utvecklingssamtalet imorgon samt tvätta alla barnen och få dem isäng!

Imorgon skall jag välja färg till väggarna i kontoret som jag håller på att starta upp! Det skall bli kul!
